1. Service Description

Apis Vox is a comprehensive beekeeping management platform that provides:

  • AI-powered analysis of hive data, images, and inspection records
  • Data management and sharing capabilities for apiaries and hives
  • Optional paid features and donation processing

2. Voice Recording and Research Rights

2.1 Recording Consent

When you use our voice recording features, you consent to the recording, processing, and analysis of your voice data for the purposes of:

  • Transcribing your spoken hive inspection notes
  • Converting speech to structured inspection data
  • Improving our AI transcription and analysis algorithms
  • Research and development of beekeeping-related technologies

2.2 Research and Development Rights

You grant Apis Vox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your voice recordings and associated metadata (but not personal identifying information) for:

  • Training and improving AI models for beekeeping applications
  • Research into beekeeping practices and terminology
  • Academic research partnerships related to apiculture
  • Development of industry-wide beekeeping standards and tools

2.3 Data Protection

We commit to protecting your privacy by:

  • Anonymizing voice data used for research purposes
  • Never sharing personal identifying information with third parties
  • Storing audio data securely with encryption
  • Allowing you to request deletion of your voice data at any time

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information about your apiaries, hives, and inspections. Inaccurate data may affect the quality of our AI analysis and recommendations.

3.3 Lawful Use

You agree to use Apis Vox only for lawful beekeeping activities and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding beekeeping and data privacy.

4. AI Analysis and Data Processing

4.1 AI-Generated Content

Our AI systems analyze your voice recordings, images, and data to provide insights and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should not be considered as professional veterinary or agricultural advice.

4.2 Professional Judgment

Always use your professional judgment and consult with qualified beekeeping experts or veterinarians for serious hive health issues. Apis Vox is a management tool, not a replacement for expert consultation.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

5.1 Free and Paid Features

Apis Vox offers both free and paid features. Paid features require a valid payment method and are processed securely through our payment partners Stripe and RevenueCat.

5.2 Payment Processing

We partner with Stripe for secure payment processing and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your payment information is handled securely by these trusted third-party processors and is never stored on our servers.

5.3 Donations

Donations to support the platform are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations help maintain and improve the service for all users.

5.4 Refunds

6. Data Sharing and Export

6.1 Your Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you input into Apis Vox, including hive records, inspection notes, and metadata. You can export your data at any time through our export features.

6.2 Sharing Features

Our apiary sharing features allow you to grant access to your data to other users. You control who has access and can revoke access at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

Apis Vox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI analysis, weather data, or other automated features. You use the service at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apis Vox shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of bees, honey production, or business profits.

8. Termination

8.1 Your Right to Terminate

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using our account deletion features. Upon termination, you can export your data.

8.2 Our Right to Terminate

We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
